Many of these dogs would have been much loved, lost pets.
Pets can wonder miles and miles when they get out of gardens or lost on unfamiliar walks. YOUR pet could end up being picked up by a dog warden and driven to a pound miles away from home. If you do not claim your dog within 8 days and the pounds are full with stray dogs, unless taken by a rescue, your dog WILL be put to sleep.
IF your dog is lucky enough to be taken by a rescue it could then again end up miles and miles away from your home, so far away you would have little chance of finding your pet ever again.
IF YOUR DOG HAD BEEN MICROCHIPPED YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN REUNITED AS SOON AS THE DOG WAS PICKED UP.
Lost un-microchipped pets are near to impossible to reunite. For the sake of £15 and as an animal rescue ourselves we urge you to get your pet chipped.
